Production Leader/Instructor at Viskan Prison

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our main goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

Viskan Prison is a closed facility that began receiving inmates in March 2025. The largest professional group is prison officers, but we also have healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, and more. The inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, or industrial production. Viskan Prison is easiest to reach by car, and staff parking is available.

Job Tasks

We are now looking for a production leader/instructor for Viskan Prison:

• Focusing on painting (car and/or industrial painting)

As a production leader with us, you will participate in all aspects of the employment, while also having your own specialty area where you will deepen your knowledge. You will be responsible for guiding and supervising the clients in their daily activities. The work involves planning, distributing, and following up on tasks while also participating in production and ensuring that the work meets high quality standards. You will also contribute to developing routines, collaborate closely with other production leaders and professional groups, and play a vital role in the clients' learning, development, and social training. The role does not involve personnel responsibility but rather the supervision of the inmates.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience teaching car painting as a teacher in high school/adult education.
• Experience in social work with clients who have been long-term unemployed or clients within the prison system.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Meritorious:

• Work experience within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, social care, or similar fields.
